Istorijat škole

O

snovna škola „Risto Ratković” u Bijelom Polju nastavlja svijetle tradicije prosvetiteljstva Druge osmogodišnje škole, koja je radila pod tim imenom od 1950 godine u prostorijama današnje škole „Dušan Korać”. Od aprila mjeseca 1964 godine ona počinje svoj novi život, kada se odvojila od svoje posestrime i preselila u novu školsku zgradu u naselju Nikoljac. Od 8 Januara 1965 godine, Odlukom Skupštine opštine, Osnovna škola u Nikoljcu nosi ime zavičajnog pjesnika i pisca Rista Ratkovića.

Škola je u toku svog višedecenijskog rada odigrala nezamjenljivu ulogu obrazujući i vaspitavajući mlade generacije.

Brojni su njeni učenici koji su danas nosioci privrednog, prosvjetnog i kulturnog razvoja u Bijelom Polju, Crnoj Gori i šire. Učenici i nastavnici ove škole i danas nastavljaju svoj zajednički trud i put u oblikovanju novih obrazovnih i duhovnih potencijala koji dosežu visoke nivoe.

Iz ove škole potekli su učenici koji su kasnije postali veliki umjetnici pisane riječi, velikani raznih struka, profesori, doktori…
Rezultatima svoje prakse škola i njeni nastavnici su dobili društvena i radna priznanja, a sama škola je na najbolji mogući način našla svoje mjesto u društvenim preobražajima i izrasla u savremenu školu.
